Power Tips: How to Have Better Rest
Getting a good night’s sleep means including activities in your day that promote good sleep. What you do during the day will greatly impact how you sleep at night. Here are a few power tips:
- Adequate sunlight helps maintain a healthy circadian rhythm
- Fresh air is vital to circulation and good circulation is vital to a good night’s rest
- Physical activity is very important
- Your last meal of the day should be finished at least 3 hours before bedtime
- Regular sleep patterns are essential to getting great sleep
- Keep conflict, stress, anxiety and worry outside of the bedroom
- Relax before bedtime
- Avoid caffeine, tobacco and other stimulants
- Get your sleep primarily at night
- Enjoy a hot bath one or two hours before bedtime
