How to start getting active and maintain regular physical activity:

  • Choose activities you enjoy
  • Ease into it---gradually increase intensity and duration
  • Be sure to set short term goals along the way
  • Celebrate success in reaching your goals
  • Schedule a regular time to exercise

Get moving activities:

  • Play with your kids/grandkids, kick a soccer ball, play catch, play tag or basketball, etc.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator
  • Walk
  • Tend to your garden and do some yard work
  • Find a parking spot furthest from the entrance
